With the growth of our customer base, we are seeking a technically proficient Professional Services Consultant to deliver multiple customer implementation projects internationally, with a particular focus on data mapping, migration, integration and configuration.

What we need: A technically proficient Professional Services Consultant with skills and experience of software packages and solutions, a solid understanding of the underlying database and data structures and the ability to manage the migration of data from existing customer databases to Akari systems databases as part of a product rollout project, in addition to configuration of the solution.

Someone with the ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyse, plan and communicate complex requirements.

A self-starter and self-manager, highly driven with a willingness to make decisions as appropriate and work with minimal supervision.

An organised person with the ability to prioritise workload and work on multiple projects at the same time.

A Consultant with a solid understanding of project management techniques and strong experience of modern software configuration/development technologies and methodologies.

The ability to work both remotely and as part of a local, remote and global team.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on database knowledge – with comprehensive SQL scripting experience.
  • Significant knowledge of an RDBMS, preferably Oracle and/or SqlServer.
  • Data analysis, data mapping, transformation, exporting, loading and converting data.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with APIs and integrations
  • Strong software application configuration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for problem identification and resolution.
  • Requirements gathering, analysis and specification development experience.
  • Customer focus & ability to engage in a consultative and collaborative manner with customers.
  • Proven ability to work on large and complex projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with remote teams in different time zones.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (international & domestic) when travel restrictions are lifted.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to estimate and articulate personal capacity in planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to call out blockers and deliver to expectations.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK or Ireland.



  • Experience of working in or with the Higher Education sector – knowledge of curriculum structures would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with Higher Education student management applications or similar i.e. SITS: Vision • Experience of BI/Reporting tools and techniques.
  • Experience with data loading toolsets to facilitate data migration from customer data sources into the Akari database
  • Experience of mapping data for data integrations
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications such as Excel to assist in analysing data.
  • A commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Some experience of working with AWS or other cloud based applications.
  • Experience of using JIRA or other similar tools.


Some duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working as part of the Professional Services team in the overall delivery of solutions.
  • Facilitate business and technical workshops with key stakeholders to develop requirements.
  • Work with the Project Manager and project team members to analyse, prioritise and document customer requirements.
  • Install and tailor configurations of the Akari application to meet customer requirements.
  • Work within client project teams to rollout out the solution
  • Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing.
  • Support change requirements through accurate impact analysis and change specifications.
  • Contribute effectively to business process improvement initiatives.
