This can of course be done manually or using non specific software such as Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.This is often the method adopted as it allows lecturers and teachers access to already familiar product.
There is however a significant drawback to such an approach.While the document produced will allow the institution to conform to the minimum standards, it makes filing, sharing, comparing and quality assurance very difficult. It also means that resources are owned by individuals and do not generally add to the collective knowledge of the organisation.
