Customer Innovator of the Year 2020

03 February, 2021

Delighted to share Professor Adam Bridgeman’s comments after being awarded Akari Software’s Customer Innovator of the Year 2020 for the outstanding work achieved by the Education Innovation team, University of Sydney, ‘Making Curriculum Visible’, for the Online Unit Outline project, supporting staff, students and prospective/former students.

“The development and implementation in 2020 of institution wide unit of study outlines was a major achievement for the University of Sydney and was described by the Vice-Chancellor as ‘an enormous cultural milestone’.

By partnering with Akari Software, we have been able to organise and detail our curriculum, including all of the learning outcomes and activities and assessment in each of our comprehensive and complex degrees. We can now present this information to students in easy to navigate and comprehend ways to enable them to plan their studies, as well as interrogate it ourselves to assist with curriculum reform and quality improvement.

The consistency in curriculum and assessment structure that this brought us and the ability to make institution-wide changes rapidly have been central to our response to the challenges of 2020. Our relationship with Akari Software has always been highly constructive, collegiate and beneficial.  It is with great pleasure that we accept this award.”
