Job Description: Financial Controller


Akari Software is a highly successful technology company that provides a suite of software solutions to help Higher Education Institutions transform their approach to Curriculum Design and Management. 

We are now looking for a hands-on Financial Controller who is highly motivated, energetic and looking to join an ambitious company.


  • Oversee the accounting operations of the company.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Monitor and report on Cash Flow on an ongoing basis 
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics. 
  • Produce the annual budget and regular forecasts. 
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. 
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit. 
  • Provide detailed analytical support to all operational areas of the business, in particular for capital investments, strategic decisions, and contract negotiations. 
  • Ensure Tax Compliance in all group entities.
  • Support subsidiary companies on operational and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA / CIMA qualified with 4 years PQE in an international technology/software company
  • Strong commercial skills and an ability to contribute to both operational and strategic business initiatives
  • Experience in analysing financial data and report preparation and presentation
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation - capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team

This role will be based in Ireland. Only candidates with current rights to live and work in Ireland will be considered for this role. The role is full-time, permanent subject to completion of a successful probationary period.
