(Senior) Product Manager

Job Description: Product Manager

We’re looking to grow our Centre of Excellence in Cork as we expand our product set and customer base. We now need an additional Product Manager / Senior Product Manager for our Research, Development & Innovation Team working on an Enterprise Ireland-funded project to bring new, complementary products to market using a new technology stack

Reporting to the Director of Product, you will work with the other Product Team Members including Product Managers, UX, UI and information designers; and with other teams, especially the Development Team, throughout all the stages of our agile process to ensure that we maximise the value of our products to our customers.

The right person will have:

  • A computing or business 3rd level qualification
  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercially focused Agile Development environment (10+ for Senior)
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Product Manager (5+ for Senior) for B2B software products
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern Web application structure and development technologies and methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and customer advocacy skills

And, ideally:

  • Agile Product Owner Certification
  • Experience building or deploying software products for Universities
  • Experience in the use of Jira and related products

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Product Manager works as part of the Product Team to help ship the right products to our customers. Their responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Developing new product propositions, producing business cases & working with sales and finance on pricing
  • Researching an prioritising market and customer requirements
  • Writing requirements, acting as Scrum Product Owner, providing product context for developers
  • Discussing requirements, making trade-offs, performing acceptance, participating in Scrum ceremonies
  • Product Launch, promotion, marketing and sales support activities
  • At Senior level, the role includes people management responsibility

Other information:

This role will be based in Ireland. Only candidates with current rights to live and work in Ireland will be considered for this role. The role is full-time, permanent subject to completion of a successful probationary period.


Salary range: €60,000 to €80,000 per annum

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent subject to completion of a successful 6 month probationary period.
